Snake Name serves as an identification tool for snakes and similar reptiles encountered in both natural and captive environments. It offers recognition of approximately 800 snake species worldwide, with an overall accuracy rate of about 78%. Users can capture a new photo or upload a prior image of a snake, with the app providing identification results upon submission. Including the location where the photo was taken—particularly for images captured in the wild—can enhance confidence in the identification process.

Once the species is identified, Snake Name offers a detailed species or genus card containing essential information about venom, fangs, size, and geographical range. It is important to maintain a safe distance from snakes during photography to ensure safety while engaging with these fascinating creatures. The application aims to facilitate educational exploration of snakes and their ecology.
